Bio
Parent Coach
Becky Kapsalis is a wife of 47yrs, mother of 5 grown
children, and grandmother to 18 grandkids (ranging in ages
18mos to 18 yrs). Her company Ask Yiayia stems from her
Greek heritage. (Yiayia is the Greek word for grandmother)
Born the 8th child to immigrant parents Becky (now 68 yrs.
old) has the experience and heartfelt empathy to empower
parents to be the best they can be so they can teach their
own children to be the best people they can be. Her motto
where you are I've been and where I'm at you're coming has
been a long standing family tenet that has taught her how to
understand parenting and how to impart that awareness to
today's parents during their own child-rearing years.
Her philosophy is
simple. When you consider that parenting is the cornerstone for shaping the life
of another human being, is it any wonder that how we raise our children
determines the shape of our world? Recent research indicates that children are
not the problem ( Michael Mendizza author of Magical Parent Magical Child) ..and
that parents have lost connection with their children. Through her eyes as a
Yiayia, Becky will help YOU through the terrible two's on up to the tumultuous
teens. She wants everyone to feel the over-whelming influence parents have on
their children and that they, parents, are the most important people in the
world to their child. She wants parents to realize that there is no greater
sense of purpose and accomplishment than raising a child. She will take you on a
child development journey to change the direction of parenting¦ one child at a
time¦ one parent at a time. As parents on a developmental journey, she will
teach you that YOU are the road map. You design the legend. You hold the key.
How will she do
that you might ask. Through mutual respect, showing a genuine interest and
choosing your words carefully when talking to children¦ your relationship with
your child is less threatening, more honest and certainly more pleasant.
Young children
mirror their parent's patterns and behaviors. Consider that every time your
child leaves his/her home s/he is introducing you to everyone s/he comes in
contact with. How do you want to be introduced? Before you know it the kids are
grown up and out of the house and you wonder where the years have gone. You want
that wonderment to be fulfilled with a sense of connection that no matter how
old your child becomes they will always have their own sense of self-worth to
pass on to their own children because they learned it from you. Can you feel
your importance?

Testimonials
47 years
experience of being a wife, 46 years experience of being a
mother and 18 years of being a grandmother (loving every bit
of it)-did not prepare me for the life changing insightful,
inspiring and invaluable lessons I've learned on my way to
becoming a certified Academy for Parenting Coach, Int'l (ACPI)
'Parent Coach'. Words alone cannot express the gratitude I
feel towards Dr. Caron Goode, Founder of ACPI for believing
in me and providing me with the tools I needed to begin a
new career (at 68) in helping to shape our children, thus
shaping the direction of our world.
Dr. Caron Goode,
along with her husband Dr. Tom Goode, helped me succeed in spreading the word on
how we parents need to be raising our children. Their genuine, unconditional
love for people in general and children specifically has opened my eyes and my
heart to a goal to which I will dedicate the rest of my life to.
Caron Goode (ACPI)
has awakened my desire to be insightful by recognizing my own inner gifts; has
inspired me to help other parents recognize their children's inner gifts and the
invaluable wisdom of knowing the difference. Thank You Caron!
