Academy for Coaching Parents International (ACPI) opens enrollments for
Fall Classes
starting on 20th August
Academy for Coaching Parents International,
an institute providing a certified distance-learning program that prepares
students to successfully operate their own parent coaching business, is now
enrolling for the fall session commencing on 20th August 2007. The ACPI ‘parent
coaching certification’ training program consists of 3 to 5 primary modules of
coursework completed over a 6 month time span. Courses are offered through
teleconference and email.
Shedding light on the academy’s open enrollment policy, Dr. Caron Goode,
Director of ACPI, remarks, “The open enrollment policy allows you to start new
classes three times during the year, continue your class work progressively, and
get a head start on the reading material. There is no pressure on the students
and they can start anytime they feel comfortable.”
The
ACPI certification program
consists of sixty hours of coursework which is divided into five primary tracks
and an optional track. Dr. Goode helps you personalize a program that takes into
account your professional education and experience. Student study coaching
competencies, parenting problems and solutions, marketing a home-based business,
and build their practice from their personal style, strengths, and skills.
Tracks 1 and 2 are undertaken by Dr. Goode, track 3’s trainer is Claire Marie
Beery and tracks 4 and 5 are taken by Mr. Tom Adams. The courses focus on the
interpersonal and cognitive skills for becoming a successful
parent
coach.
Shannon Kohler, a 51-year-old mother of two and a student of the Academy
testifies, “The course has helped me in more ways than one. I had initially
taken up the course so that I could have my own business doing what I do
naturally. Now I want to do more than just encourage parents to be their own
advocates. I am looking forward to applying my learning from the Academy to my
personal parenting as well as developing a coaching practice that integrates my
business and
parent coaching
experiences.”
“As a
parent coach you can take
on the role of a lifetime. People seeking
parent
coaches are reaching out for a mentor who is an
educator, teacher or listener,” asserts Dr. Goode. “Our open enrollment strategy
ensures that no one who aspires to be a part of this booming industry is left
out. The student gets all the reading material beforehand. This way there are no
lapses.”
Open enrollment enables students to register for the course without being time
bound thereby making admission easy. As an ACPI Certified Coach for Parents
(ACPI CCP)™,
students will receive the training and the marketing information to establish a
parent coaching business
within their community. The certificate verifying their training and completion
of program requirements entitles them to coach parents and families through one
– on – one coaching, family coaching or offering parent education classes like
‘Connection Parenting’.
